Free Virtual Tasting with Anthony & Olive Hamilton Russell of Hamilton Russell Vineyards (South Africa)

You know I’m an avid South African wine enthusiast, and it’s pretty clear that I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with you all.

With that in mind, it is my distinct and absolute pleasure to announce that Anthony and Olive Hamilton Russell, proprietors of Hamilton Russell Vineyards, will be spending an hour with us in the online classroom to talk about their appellation, the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, as well as their Pinot noir and Chardonnay. Hamilton Russell Vineyards was a pioneer and planted the most southerly vineyards in Africa at the time, and they continue to maintain a high standard with Burgundian varieties that’s recognized worldwide.

I’ll have the 2017 vintages of their Chardonnay and Pinot noir on hand in case you’d like to do the same. Hamilton Russell is relatively easy to track down in many markets, but it may vary depending on your location. As of writing, Astor Wines is selling the 2018 Pinot Noir (and they deliver), but local merchants may also be able to assist.

Anthony & Olive are friends I’ve gotten to spend time with here in Pittsburgh and on their estate in South Africa, and I hope you’ll take this unique opportunity to learn directly from them.

As with the other free virtual events, please email to adam@burghundy.com to reserve your spot. Space is limited, though, so if you sign up but ultimately cannot attend, please let me know so that I can invite a participant from the waiting list to join.
