Hi, friends!
I’ll be taking a break from the online classroom the evening of Tuesday April 21 to join winemaker Remy Drabkin and participate in a virtual tasting of her 2018 Nebbiolo.
In this free session, you’ll get a chance to hear from Remy herself all about the wine from the vineyards in which it was grown to how it was handled in the cellar. I’ll be on hand to also give my impressions and tasting notes of the wine, and I’ll also toss in some more general history and information about the Nebbiolo grape.
This is an informal, fun gathering and a chance for folks to gather together in the spirit of community and exchange. The tasting will be hosted on BlueJeans, the same platform I use for my online classes, so you’ll have the opportunity to ask all sorts of questions using your device’s microphone or the built-in chat feature.
Remy’s wines can be purchased here and she ships all over the country. She concentrates on wines from Italian varieties that she grows on her property in the Dundee Hills of Oregon’s Willamette Valley and sources from other areas in the Pacific Northwest. She’s a good friend in the world of wine, and I’m looking forward to this lighthearted moment of wine-related levity and education!
We’ll get started at 8:00PM Eastern. If you’d like to join in, please email me directly at adam@burghundy.com — I’ll follow up with everything you’ll need to connect.
Don’t have the 2018 Nebbiolo for the tasting? That’s okay — all are welcome, and the hour we spend together will definitely get you curious!
